It was announced earlier this year that a music festival will be coming to Keeneland in Lexington. Who will be performing? When will tickets go on sale? What can guests expect?

The Railbird Festival at Keeneland will be taking place on August 10 and August 11 later this year. The headliner for Saturday are The Raconteurs (Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler) and Sunday is singer-songwriter Hozier.

Some additional performers are Tyler Childers, Grammy-award winner Brandi Carlile, Gary Clark Jr., Old Crow Medicine Show, and The Wooks.

There will be General Admission, VIP, and Superfecta weekend passes that will become available to the public at 10 am on Thursday, March 28. They will be offering layaway plans for all ticket levels.

Ticketholders of all levels will receive a high-security wristband with the code RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chip embedded inside. Every wristband will be scanned when attendees enter and exit the festival site. Guests can use wristbands for cashless purchases within the festival grounds for food, beverages, merchandise, and more.

To go with the musical acts, Railbird wants all attendees to have a world-class experience. Local chefs Ouita Michel (Holly Hill Inn), Top Chef season 16 runner up Sara Bradley (freight house), Master Chef alumnus Dan Wu (Atomic Ramen), Cole Arimes (Coles 735 Main), Toa Green (Crank & Boom) and others will come together to create culinary experiences during the weekend.

People can purchase a morning brunch from Chef Therrien trackside on the Clubhouse Lawn while thoroughbreds workout. There is also an opportunity to purchase a tour of Keeneland’s grounds.

There will be a full Friday night dinner for those who purchase a ticket by Chef Therrien held in the Saddling Paddock with a bourbon tasting from The Rickhouse. Other equine excursions include a visit to Keeneland neighbors WinStar Farm and Godolphin.

Ever bet on a horse race? If not, this might be your best and most fun opportunity. There will be BETologists available to help anyone bet on races from Del Mar all the way to Saratoga during the festival.

This festival is produced by AC Entertainment in partnership with Lexington entrepreneur David Helmers. AC Entertainment also produces the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Forecastle Festival, and more.
