What is the 2016 Holiday Waste Collection Schedule in Lexington?
The Lexington Division of Waste Management has announced the 2016 schedule for Holiday waste collection.
“The City has implemented the holiday collection schedule in order to best serve residents during the upcoming holiday weeks,” stated Tracey Thurman, Director of the Division of Waste Management. “We want to allow for everyone to spend quality time with friends and family, and this is the best way to provide that opportunity to our hard-working employees.”
Lexington residents and businesses that receive waste collection on holidays will be serviced on the Wednesday instead. Monday customers will be serviced on the Wednesday after the holiday. Thursday and Friday customers will be serviced the Wednesday before the holiday.
Those impacted by the holiday collection schedule should place their carts out on Tuesday after 4 p.m. to ensure collection on their Wednesday makeup day.
