The SEC might not be as easy sailing as expected for the Wildcats.
UK needed overtime heroics to overcome a tenacious Ole Miss team for their first SEC win of the year.
Aaron Harrison led the team in scoring with 26 points and made several clutch free throws to secure a hard-won 89-86 victory for the Wildcats.
Ole Miss put up a good fight, with Stefan Moody scoring 25 and Jarvis Summers adding 23. This is the closest UK has come to losing this season after easily dismantling Top-10 opponents Kansas, Texas, and Louisville, as well as No. 21 North Carolina.
For Kentucky, five players registered double-digit scoring tallies, including the Harrison twins and freshmen Trey Lyles, Karl Towns, and Devin Booker. Willie Cauley-Stein led the team with 12 rebounds and 4 crucial blocks.
