ArtsPlace will be hosting In These Fields: A Folk Opera on December 16 at 8 pm.
In These Fields explores the importance of food in our history and culture. Covering 175 years in the American South, this folk opera is a combination of monologues and songs that create a meditation on the people who have raised, prepared, and partaken of the food of the South.
Tickets available only at the door. $20 general admission. $10 for students with a valid college ID. 12 & Under are free. Proceeds from this performance will benefit a local food bank.
Starring Adanma Barton, Silas House, Carla Gover, Sam Gleaves, Deborah Payne, and Jason Howard. Directed and written by Sam Gleaves and Silas House.
