Legendary Count Basie Orchestra plays at Centre College’s Norton Center for the Arts with just-as-legendary vocalist Diane Schuur on October 30 at 8 pm.

In the history of jazz, Count Basie has the distinction of having an orchestra still performing sold out concerts even nearly 30 years after his passing. The Count Basie Orchestra has to this day garnered 18 Grammy’s and performed at every major jazz festival and major concert hall on the planet.

Diane Schuur has two Grammy’s and three nominations over a 30-year recording career and has worked with the likes of Barry Manilow, BB King, and Ray Charles.
