Sunday Salons in September, Moveable Feast Lexington
September 7, 2014 @ 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Every Sunday in September, Moveable Feast Lexington will sponsor a gathering at a different historic, architecturally significant Lexington home with a special host to celebrate art, music, and literature. These events are being called September Sunday Salons. Each event will be uniquely styled by the individual hosts. Each Sunday program will serve up food, drink, and plenty of interaction with the arts and fine art collections.
On Sunday, September 7th, John Wilkerson will host an afternoon tea at the Thomas January House (1810), in the early 19th century parlors. Maryjean Wall will be presenting her new book published by University of Kentucky Press, Madam Belle. Her book is the definitive book on Belle Brezing and the first on the subject in over 30 years. Brooklyn based artist Laura Smith will exhibit “Direction and Disintegration,” recent works from her New York studio.
Call Moveable Feast Lexington at 859.252-2867 for ticket info, prices, and reservations. Attendance will be strictly kept at small numbers to ensure a unique experience, and space is limited. All salons will be from 2:30 pm till 5:30 pm.
