Lexington’s 7th Annual MLK Day of Service

On Monday, January 20, 2020 the Town of Lexington will commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with its 7th annual family-friendly day of volunteer activities from 9 am until 5 pm.
Events begin at 9 am with a Community Dialogue on Race at Grace Chapel. This year’s topic is “The Necessity of Discussing Race and Racism with Your Family at Home.”
At 11 am, gather by the Minuteman Statue at the Lexington Green and participate in the traditional Unity Walk to Cary Memorial Hall.
The Opening Ceremony begins at 11:15 am, where performers including Lexington literary performer Regie O’Hare Gibson and the SNAP Sing Along Chorus, will share the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy and kick off the day’s service/volunteer opportunities.
