Filmslang Film Festival, Farish Theatre

“The Lexington Public library and Lexington Film League sponsor the fourth annual Filmslang Film Festival at the Central Library’s Farish Theater. Three feature films make their Lexington premieres at the festival, along with short films from local filmmakers, including a special afternoon block of young local filmmakers.

Saturday, November 1

2 to 3 p.m.—shorts by local filmmakers ages 9 to 18.
7 p.m.—Something, Anything. Lexington premiere followed by Q&A with writer-director Paul Harrill. When a tragedy shatters her plans for domestic bliss, a seemingly typical Southern newlywed gradually transforms into a spiritual seeker, quietly threatening the closest relationships around her.
Sunday, Nov. 2

3 p.m.—Find Your Way. Lexington premiere of a documentary by a street performer-turned-filmmaker who takes us inside the world of street musicians in Seattle.
7 p.m.—Flood Tide. Lexington premiere followed by Q&A with director Todd Chandler. A group of artists, shaken by the death of their friend, build extraordinary boats out of ordinary junk and set out for open water. Screening preceded by 20 minutes of short films with live musical accompaniment.

7 p.m.—Short films and music videos by local filmmakers”
