Plus, special performance by the Lexingtones Uke Group

Rock That Uke returns to the scene. The documentary is “quirkily philosophical cinematic love poem that examines the near mystical allure of the ukulele and the recent wave of alternative and experimental musicians who have taken up the four-stringed underdog” (from http://rockthatuke.com/). Lexington filmmaker, and Rock That Uke’s co-director, Sean Anderson, will discuss the film following the screening. Afterward, the Lexingtones Uke Group will take the stage for a grand finale performance.

Pilgrim Song follows James, a pink-slipped, fiddle-playing music teacher through the Sheltowee Trace Trail of Eastern Kentucky as he ventures to find “the source of his restless dissatisfaction.” Director and Kentucky native, Martha Stephens, “transforms reality into poetry,” according to Filmmaker Magazine.
