Semi-staged Spanish language opera with Kentucky Opera Studio Artists, UK Opera Theatre, and additional regional artistic partners
Argentinean composer, Osvaldo Golijov’s contemporary Spanish-language concert-opera, Ainadamar – Fountain of Tears comes to life in a semi-staged production at the Lexington Opera House in a first-time collaboration with Kentucky Opera. Golijov’s intense and brilliant musical score highlights tango, Flamenco, and Klezmer styles in a multi-media program of orchestral music, opera, dance and visual imagery.”
