The 2015 Kentucky Women’s Writers Conference is September 10-13, 2015.
The conference starts on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m with the Sonia Series keynote: screening of the film BadddDDD Sonia Sanchez, plus Q & A with Sonia Sanchez and Patrice Muhammad, The Lyric Theatre.
Friday, September 11 (Carnegie Center):
9 am: Poetry reading by Sonia Sanchez with Q&A
10:15 am: poetry workshop with Angela Ball, drafting & revising poetry workshop with Kathleen Driskell, The Power of Persona Poems – workshop with Jessica Helen Lopez
10:15 am: “Can the Writing Life Make Peace with Family Life?” panel discussion with Meghan Daum and Hannah Pittard; manuscript meetings with Joy Harris
11:30 am: readings by Jacinda Townsend & Emily Bingham
2 pm: literary agent Joy Harris’s talk
2 pm: Writing Lives: Loud and Quiet: nonfiction workshop with Emily Bingham; Self Exposure vs. Self-Examination workshop in personal essay and memoir with Meghan Daum; workshop in fiction with Hannah Pittard; workshop in fiction with Jacinda Townsend; playwriting workshop with Carson Kreitzer
