Eat: Culinary Experience & Bourbon Charity Event, Wild Thyme
December 8, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
An Interactive Culinary Experience & Bourbon Charity Event with Chef Jonathan Lundy
is at Wild Thyme on December 8 at 6:30 pm.
$75 per person
Maker’s Mark and Chef Jonathan Lundy will partner for a unique, Latin-inspired, culinary and bourbon charity event benefitting Share Our Strength, an organization committed to ending child hunger in America.
This interactive evening will allow guests to get up close and personal with Chef Jonathan Lundy as he prepares menu items from his forthcoming restaurant, Corto Lima. Additionally, Maker’s Mark Chairman Emeritus, Bill Samuels Jr. will demonstrate how to mix his classic cocktail, the Maker’s Manhattan, and share his insights about each of the Maker’s Mark expressions.
The theme of the evening is a Taquiza, or Latin culinary celebration. Guests will be invited and encouraged to participate in hands-on ingredient preparation that will also be used at Corto Lima. Featured interactive activities include hand-grinding corn soaked in lye to create masa for tortillas, preparing churros and using a molcajete to “hand-hack” guacamole.
Cooking and cocktail demonstrations and the opportunity for guest participation will begin at 6:30 pm and will wind down by 9 pm. Guests in attendance will also receive special Maker’s Mark gift bag with assorted merchandise.
