Despite frigid temperatures, Lexington natives and visitors turned out in large crowds to participate in the 2016 Freedom March celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. After a cold march, the crowd returned to the Lexington Convention center, and a popular keynote address by actor/activist Danny Glover. Glover recited a lesser-known speech from Dr. King, followed by a Q&A session. While some may be unaware of Glover’s activism, the speaker introducing him likened his efforts and philosophies to Ghandi and Dr. King himself.
