“Amahl and the Night Visitors, A holiday classic for the whole family, is an English opera in one act by Gian Carlo Menotti. It was commissioned by NBC, performed on television on December 24, 1951. It was the first opera specifically composed for television in America. UK Opera Theatre’s Undergraduate Studio presents the opera with members of the Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras.
