Three Lexington Walgreens will remain open on their usual open 24-hours schedule on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (the one at the corner of Richmond Rd. and St. Ann, the one on Harrodsburg Road, and the Hamburg location.)
Trader Joe’s on Nicholasville Rd.will close at 6 pm on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. Whole Foods in Lexington Green will be open 7 am to 7 pm on Christmas Eve.
Kroger on Euclid will close at 5 pm on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day.

Routes 1 – 13 will operate on a modified Sunday schedule on Christmas Day. Transit Center departures occur at regularly scheduled Sunday times between 11 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. There will be one inbound trip starting at the end of the line, prior to the 11 a.m departure. Residents should place their tree on the curb on their collection day, along with their Herbie, Rosie and Lenny containers. Decorations and lights need to be removed from the tree before it is placed on the curb. Wreaths made of natural greenery and even pumpkins from the fall can be placed in your Lenny yard waste container.
