HIGHLIGHTS
Sarah Jane Sanders, Room for Dessert: a collaboration of Food and Photography. Wine + Market. 5 pm to 8 pm. Corner of 2nd and Jefferson. Lexington, KY.
Sanders is the current photographer for pastry girl phenom Stella Parks’ BraveTart blog. Parks is the pastry chef at Table 310 (voted best decadent desserts by Ace Readers 2011, and a 2011 This Year’s Model, and a newly minted title from Food and Wine Magazine as a Best New Pastry Chef). Sanders says, “Collaborating with Stella on BraveTart, a desserts-only food blog, has been an open road of sweet opportunities and a delectable space for creative freedom,” adding ” My training as both a photographer and a baker has given me understanding for both sides of the lens and a unique approach to food photography.”
A UK Fine Arts grad, Sanders’ photos appear on Gilt Taste and Serious Eats, and
will also be featured in Rosie Moosnick’s upcoming book, Arab and Jewish Women in Kentucky: Stories of Accommodation and Audacity. (You can click here to read a 2002 Ace coverstory for a hint of the origins of the book.)

Lexington Art League will host a gallery hop pARTy at Cheapside Park, 5 pm to 10 pm, that will include performances by Dance Blue, and March Madness Marching Band, street art by Sayre School, cash bar, etc.
