Lexington plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Moore was featured as ABC’s “Person of the Week” for his health-care intiative, “Surgery on Sunday,” a practice that treats uninsured Kentucky patients in a free surgical clinic one Sunday a month.
Surgery On Sunday, Inc., a 501c3, works closely with community partners to provide outpatient surgical procedures to income-eligible individuals. Patients are referred to Surgery on Sunday, Inc. by numerous partner agencies.
Moore was also selected as one of People Magazine’s Heroes Among Us.
